I am living in Algonquin a part of the Kane county. Can I use Dundee library as a member?

Young Tranquilli | Nov 3, 2021
Dundee Library/Fox River Valley Public Library District | Nov 3, 2021

Hi Young! Some of Algonquin is in the Fox River Valley Public Library District (us) and some is in the Algonquin Area Library District. You must get your library card at the library to which a portion of your property taxes go. After that, you can use that library card at either (or any, really!) library. Give us a call, and we can look up your address and see which library district you are part of. Our number is (847) 428-3661. Hope to see you soon!

What are all of the libraries, in this system that I may use?

Holly rische | Nov 3, 2021
Dundee Library/Fox River Valley Public Library District | Nov 3, 2021

Hi Holly! As Eric correctly answered (thanks Eric!) the libraries in the Fox River Valley Public Library District are the Dundee Library in East Dundee and the Randall Oaks Library in West Dundee. We are also a member of the CCS consortium, and integrated library system of 28 libraries located in the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago. This allows us to easily acquire titles for our patrons that we do not own ourselves.

Do you have databases that provide names and addresses of recent home buyers by zip code? One I have used in the past was "A-Z".

Jackie McCague | Nov 4, 2019

Yes, we do. Our list of current databases can be found on the library's website under the "Research" tab. A to Z is among them. Here's a direct link: https://www.frvpld.info/database-information
