We’re here for a reunion of friends from VA-52 an A-6 squadron from a few years ago. I left the Knightriders in December 1982 and have only seen one of these guys since then. Looking forward to reconnecting with some of these guys after 39 years.

When I went there, there was a checkpoint checking IDs for those who are eligible on duty. I parked outside and there was two beautiful aircrafts below. I highly recommend going there if you want to see aircrafts with your own eyes

I worked on the base in 1990 drilling observatory well,s. This place was one of the best experiences I as a master well driller of the state of Washington experienced hydrological effects of the ocean vs.freash water water interning. I was working with the best PHD in hydrological and geological scientists I ever encountered. The base was perfect. The Blue Angeles flew over one day. I was so proud to be a productive American of the USA. M.k

DEERS is on the Sea Plane base with the commissary. It is behind the thrift store and veterinarian.

No. Your best bet is to go to the OLF in Coupeville and watch them out there. Need an ID to get on base.
They seem to do their touch and Go's between 3 -4pm and the best place to watch is the produce stand FARM STAND

The NEX doesn't have a campground but there's a campground in the main base called Cliffside Park.

I'm not positive, but I doubt it. NAS Whidbey is fairly strict/picky about letting people on base without a base pass or with non family members accompanying someone with access. Your best bet for a "tour" is with a family member with a military ID. Or maybe ask the people at the ID card place at the Langley Gate of NASWI.
Good question. No not that I am aware of but if you are getting here early I would recommend you stay at Walmarts big parking lot or stay in the large gravel parking lot just past Auld Field Road staying on Highway 20. It's an old mobile home dealership that is closed so no one's there anymore. My son who drives trucks has done the gravel parking lot.
