Joining Karate Edge was the best decision for our son. He is 10 and was struggling with finding something to be passionate about. He doesn’t like organized sports but this is something he loves! This is more than a team, it really feels like family. All of the instructors are great with the kids and they make learning fun. If you are looking for a great experience this is definitely a place you should check out!

I absolutely love this place. My son started lessons right after he turned 3 years old. The wonderful instructors brought my son out of his shell, built up his confidence, and helped him overcome his social anxiety. He was scared at the start, but kept with it. Now he excited for karate every week and loves to show off his new moves. This studio doesn't have the strict feel of just being there for a lesson. Everyone is warm and welcoming. They truly care, notice and help when a student is struggling, and are amazing with young children.

I have been a part of The Karate Edge for 5+ years now and have appreciated every minute of it! One of the best decisions I’ve made in life is to walk through their front door. It has given me so many opportunities to learn and grow personally and through martial arts. The people here have become a family of mine and have helped shape who I am today. Regular karate class at any age never seems to disappoint and the Kickboxing Edge classes have been an amazing addition to the school. The instructors here consistently strive to make it warm and inviting for everyone who walks through that door. Overall I’m glad it is a place that I can call home.

I’ve been training here for the last 6+ years - as has our ten year old daughter. Our youngest has been doing it for three years now. It’s a great family atmosphere with knowledgeable instructors, supportive peers, and classes seven days a week! Sensei Tony Bennest has been doing karate for over thirty years, he’s a fifth degree black belt, and has been in business for over a decade. His school has grown to over 300+ students and counting! Now, I’m a black belt, and I continue to learn, train, and improve. They offer reasonably priced private lessons. There’s also cardio kickboxing in addition to extra classes to improve kata and sparring skills. I’m still learning and improving. There’s also extra events, seminars, and workshops too if you’re looking to improve more. In addition to improving physically and mentally as a result of my training, I’ve also developed meaningful friendships and have a greater social circle as a result of meeting so many great people at the dojo. From a martial arts perspective, Sensei Tony Bennest teaches us a multifaceted approach that includes everything from weapons, empty hand techniques, self defense, kata, sparring, grappling, etc. All the classes have agendas and a curriculum that the instructors follow. They’re organized! The expectations for each rank are clearly defined and are written down. Testing is fair too. I’ve had other teachers in the past (having done martial arts multiple times over the years), but no school or teacher was as supportive nor fostered a culture of respect and success like Sensei Bennest has. Sensei Tony is constantly learning and improving his own skills as well as the school curriculum- he practices what he teaches. As a dad, I can think of no better place for our young daughters to train. I’ve seen what other dojo kids have grown into in terms of their martial arts training, and the people they have become. I know my kids are in good hands. Also, they offer summer camps, birthday parties, and parents nights out which the kids love to go to! Come on in!
