Technician was great. However, My estimate was $351 for labor. The repair would take 10 minutes. That is unreal. So now I have to pay 180 for the diagnostic session. That is a scam and I will never use these services again.

Bought a $3024.30 refrigerator 4 years ago. Called for service and was given an appointment date of 1/18/22. Sears delayed the appointment to 1/20/22. Technician arrived and evaluated all parts, placed the order and advised of labor fee since all parts were under manufacturer warranty. Was given another appointment date of 2/3/22 for completion of repair. Parts arrived at my home on 1/26/22. Morning of 2/3/22 the technician arrived and replaced 2 parts, but apparently not all parts ordered and advised to not put food in for 24 hours. My account was charged $455.86, for which I never signed for. Later in the afternoon I checked to see if it was working. The freezer was cold but the refrigerator was not. I attempted contact with the technician with no success. I attempted contact with the service department only for them to tell me someone could come to my home on 2/17/22 and I would be charged a service fee of $159. I could not get anyone to understand that I had already had an evaluation, parts ordered and failed repair appointments and that services were already paid for but I still had a non functioning appliance. Communication was difficult at best due to the inability to understand some of the thick accents and through the screaming children in the background of some of the calls. By the time I was completely frustrated, I had been given 8 different telephone numbers to call and I still received no resolution. I attempted to call and file a complaint and was hung up on 3 times. So as of now I am out: $3024.30 for a refrigerator that does not work, $455.86 for replacement of parts that did not fix the issue, weeks of not being able to use this refrigerator and now being told I will be charged another service fee for another technician to come in 2 weeks. I expect a technician at my home immediately to finish the repair, but got just brushed aside. I have always purchased the majority of my appliances from Sears. I am so disappointed in a company I have relied on for so long. Times have surly changed when customers are treated with such disregard. Update: 3/4/2022 Had third and fourth appointments which did not fix the problem. Had filed a BBB complaint a month ago and have recently been communicated with by a person from Tranform Hold Co. (repair service of Sears Co.) but only after I submitted my issue via Facebook messenger. After communicating my issue AGAIN that the refrigerator is still not repaired, the Transform Hold Co. representative just made another appointment (a fifth) for Monday but requested another technician. Sadly, I hold no huge expectation. As this horror tale continues for going on 2 months now, I am out thousands of dollars, hours of wasted time, the use of my refrigerator and lose of food.
