I found myself homeless and alone at 51 years old. I would not have been able to navigate my way from homelessness and now into transitional housing without the resources from Union Gospel Mission. Thanks for all you do!!!

This sanctuary assists women with/without children in various states of despair to elevate their emotional status, and provide a clean safe environment. Many volunteers help to create celebrations of holidays and appreciation for the ladies who stem from different walks of life. These women practice recovery in a year of personal growth and acceptance, to reintegrate into families and society. The facility has a nursery and cafeteria among other amenities (Security) for living life and raising, protected children. I am a volunteer in the commercial kitchen a couple times a year.

My family member is homeless and living here. I've been keeping track of them and from what I've been told and what I've seen in my loved one is that they're being treated and cared for better than other places. They give them food, clothing, their own bed. I'm thankful there is a place like this around because my family members appearance and health went from not looking so good to, so much better. My family member isn't homeless because of drugs, but has told me there is a separate part for people trying to recover. She's made some friends here too. Thank you so much for opening your doors and caring for people, no matter where they came from. 🙏♥️

Thank you Hope Place! You were there when I needed you... didn't like being locked in the building for weeks, that was hell. I couldn't even go to church that was really wrong because it caused me to become very depressed so I finally had to leave. I think the program will figure it out and get better some day. Thank you for being there for people who need a program. You should treat people on a case by case basis like you really claim to. I was treated unfairly and I had no voice in the matter. They know what I'm saying is true. ❤️

There are hundreds of homeless and long waiting lists for housing, emergency or otherwise. rent is expensive...schools suck, and no matter who or what you vote for in King county and the surrounding counties, the elected (?) officials will always do what they want anyways...it sucks with the people that have been running this place for a few decades...they have ruined Seattle and the surrounding area.

No. Just call them and tell them your situation. There may be a waiting list. I didn't have that long of a wait.
