My family loves fishing here. Even though it's still located in town, it's quiet, close to home, large enough for several people to fish with their family without bothering othwrs, and there a several nice places to place a chair, sit and fish. Also great location for a picnic.

I don't believe there's a problem, but it would probably be advised to keep on leash. If you want your dog to run free there's a dog park by the football stadium on east main
No camping area.
