Hi Margie, we have a 3-hour shift minimum for care and can provide anywhere up to around-the-clock coverage. We do not offer shifts less than 3-hours long. The hourly cost for care does vary, however, the longer the shift scheduled, the lower the per-hour cost will be. Each caregiver undergoes a very thorough, 4-part screening process including a national background check and driving record check. We do not perform drug testing, however, as a client, you can certainly request a drug screening from your caregiver directly. Caregivers are required to have their own car and our service agreements allow each Elderlink caregiver to provide transportation for our clients in their vehicle. Or, if the client prefers to use their own vehicle for transportation, the caregiver can drive that vehicle. Elderlink caregivers do not wear uniforms, however, we do provide guidelines and suggestions for dress during the orientation and interview process. ~ Jennifer, Director of Operations
