Overall it was an okay experience, something we wanted to try and glad we did. It was nice as empty nesters to have a child free evening. I thought of this experience in 3 parts ~ Dinner, Staff/Atmosphere & Movie and will rate them accordingly. Dinner - Disappointing. We got a burger, grilled cheese and shared tots for $35 and it was overpriced for what you get. "Fancy" burger & Grilled cheese presented in a basket like a burger shack on the side of the road and tater tots were cold. For the price should include tots or salad or something. Staff/Atmosphere ~ Music was so loud we could barely have a conversation sitting side by side and we were the only ones there besides the owners, their guests and other staff. We felt like the staff was snatching up our dishes before we had a chance to even set them down. Very kind and had good humor but still unsettling. Movie ~ nice seats, small setting, very clean and spacious. The option to have snacks delivered during the movie was nice and when they did deliver to others it was unobtrusive.

My wife and I have gone to Big Picture since it was below El Gaucho in Seattle. While this new location doesn't quite capture the magic of the old place (how cool is a niche theater in the basement of a world class steakhouse), it is still a wonderful place to spend an evening. The drinks are always good and the owners are welcoming to talk to. I'd recommend the wagyu burger which the extremely courteous staff can serve to you during the movie. The picture and sound are top notch, the sound system especially is excellent and the owner clearly has a lot of pride in the work that has been put into it. Now for some brief negatives. Whereas the old location didn't have a bad seat in the house, there are some seats (the edges primarily) that aren't as great of an experience. The theater itself also gets way too warm for comfort, especially during a follow up showing (residual body heat + alcohol = needs more AC!). Maybe pump some cold air every 20 minutes or so. This is a place that we will go to every time there's a new showing and encourage everyone from the area to visit at least once.

Love the Issaquah location, in the old Rogue Brewery spot across Sunset near the library. The decor is relaxed yet classy, and each table has a different vibe. Bonus: you can visit this over 21 location even if you don't have movie tickets, which means it could be surprisingly chill just after a movie starts. The theater seats 33 people or so, and the very front seats have recliners for your legs. Tip: the far left seats also have an extra cupholder. Tickets are reasonable at $18, and the food and drink prices are also good too! You can order food & cocktails to eat before the movie, or have them delivered about ~40 mins into the show. Definitely will return for more!

This place is a delight! I just moved to Issaquah a couple months ago, and I am so pleasantly surprised to see this attraction here, and not Seattle. It really is a little gem! The drinks and food are awesome and well-priced, and the atmosphere and experience are lovely as well. Very different than any other theater you'll ever go to. My only suggestion for improvement would be to offer closed captions for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, whether that means a cup holder device, captioning glasses, or open caption nights on occasion. I myself have cochlear implants and have a difficult time understanding what's said in movies without subtitles. I didn't expect this place to have this accommodation given it's so small, but it would be nice. :-) I will be coming back regardless--- so fun!
