I am in such shock how well I was treated on the telephone first which made me come to the Emma braiding salon. Everyone was polite nice and listened to what my request of service was. They are so professional and kind with FAIR prices. Everyone should come here. If you must travel it is worth the trip!!

I come here from time to time because this particular location is nearby. I got there when they opened at 9am and received mediocre service. Im going to say this…When customers come into your establishment for a service please do not expect your client to do your job. Unless you are going to provide a discount. I got here and could not relax or enjoy my self because I was too busy dividing the hair up for this braider to do my cornrows. Literally this chic had the audacity to ask me to help her divide up the hair and give it to her…what is that about?!? Then complained that I was dividing the hair to small or too large…Ugh that’s why I was paying you to do it…Talk about horrible customer service. So I will provide this establishment with some advise. At a tune of $180 dollars I expect to have the experience of enjoying my spa day and not help you do my own hair. My hair did come out descent, so thanks! However I was tired after a long day of work helping you do my own hair. Also, not to mention I felt insulted when it was time to pay up. I kindly provided the stylist with my credit card and that’s when the shade came into play…The stylist said to me okay we will take your credit card (Geez thanks). However by excepting my credit card I was advised that there will be a surcharge of $2 dollars…Once again what are we doing here!?! Not a good look and bad for business. If you want clients to pay with cash Please put a sign up for customers to see so their are no surprises because clearly you advise on your front door that you accept credit cards. Nevertheless, I will not be back. I will go back to Essence Braids And Weaves in East Orange,NJ where I’m treated like a customer and not a hair stylist assistant. ✌🏽
