Been coming up to the city hall for a variety of concerns since 2013. Our first experience was definitely not good. Just bought our place in the winter and didn't know they just passed a law that if after 24 hrs of a big snow fall, the snow had to be cleared from your sidewalks, otherwise the city would do it for you and the penalty would be attached to your property taxes. We fought it but phone calls were not returned, going to the city to talk with the ppl in charge were never available nor gave us a call to respond to the visit. But, over the years they have improved and addressed our concerns. May not be what we wanted to hear but they did provide answers. Oct 2022 we find out there's lead in the water. Slightly testing above normal allowances, and provided affected residents with faucets filters and/or water jug filtering system. Lead treatment systems are supposed to last about a year. Glad they were on top of the problem and finding an alternate solution while long term solution of replacing lead piping is currently being done. Yay, for the City of Eastpointe.

Got my free water filter, Because the city tested our drinking water and the lead content was to high according to government standards.

The mayor is off her rocker. She violated first ammendment rights. Refuses to let the public speak. And she seems unstable

Poor telephone service. Long list of departments, which isn't complete and of all the departments given the City Clerks Office isn't given. Then when you do reach a department as a rule it goes to voice mail. Why not put a complete list in with the water bills.

Currently we street sweep without scheduling ahead. What block do you live on?
The City of Eastpointe does not sponsor any fireworks, but this link compiles them from across the County: https://michiganfireworks.com/by-county/macomb/
Hello Brea, we had our Tree Lighting this past Wednesday. Sorry that you did not hear about it in time. -cardi
I'd report it to animal control if the squirrels are out of hand. They may trap them and move them to a different area. Good luck!
I would recommend contacting the Building Department. https://www.cityofeastpointe.net/buildingdept
