There are not many sit-down/dine-in restaurants open in Capital Hill before 3pm, but the Americana is one of them and a a first time visitor, it did not disappoint. I eat pretty simple so I order simple things, but the Mac and Cheese was some of the best I've ever had... not a quick throw away menu item like at most places, but it tasted like real effort was put into it with a very rich flavor and delicious topping. The server was fantastic and attentive, checking in on my party just enough but not overbearing. The restaurant itself is cozy, and they follow current State guidelines in checking for proof of covid vaccination or negative test - one regulation that assuredly won't be around forever but made my visit feel all the more safe and responsible. Highly recommended!

We went there for brunch. We had pancakes and omelets. One of the guys from our group who is living in LA but is French originally said it was the best pancakes he had in his life in the US. Hope you find this useless detail useful

We’ve been in Seattle for a few days there is the never ending quest for the perfect breakfast. Hunched over our iPhones like ogres over a bone pile, sifting through endless options and possibilities. My eyes start going buggy and frustration rises like vapors from a pigpen. We chose someplace else, the name Americana made me think of strip malls and yellow linoleum, but the first place in the list was closed due to the scourge and Americana was the closest place within walking distance. O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!” I chortled in my joy! Great little hole in the wall with sweet sincere service. Felt totally welcomed. My wife informed me that the french toast was better than hers which is something of a revelation. The chicken fried streak was everything I could ask for, savory, tender, creamy gravy. The home fries worth writing home about. Oh happy chance! If this place were in my neighborhood, I’d move in. They’d have to pry me out at the end of the day with a crowbar.

My partner and I were out on Friday morning looking for a breakfast restaurant and saw that the Americana Restaurant was open and went in and had breakfast, we both had the Americana Benedict which was very tasty but I wish they would have put hash browns instead of potato pancake, other than that everything was great.

Street parking and a lot behind the building.
Sorry, no.
For dinner only.
Yes. Tuesday through Friday 4:30-6:30.
Though they welcome kids, it isn't really what I would consider a kid friendly feel. Feels more like a cocktail bar. No kids menu.
They serve dinner as well
