There’s a lot to be said but the main thing is it could be a nice place but the staffing lady Connie is rude and very unprofessional. Very understaffed because people can’t deal with her attitude. She thinks she’s hurting employees but really hurting the residents from getting good quality care running good staff away. With more than 10 years in this field I would definitely give this place a 2/10.. and I’m being generous.

I should have read the reviews before applying here, everything everyone is saying absolutely very true, especially on the assistant living side, no adequate staffing, they expect staff to do 3-5 different jobs from passing meds, caring for the residents and cleaning etc., there’s not house keepers, dietary aides, no caregivers and no maintenance nor do they do activities with the/ for the residents to help keep the place up and running, no a/c so when get its hot it’s uncomfortable to work in or live in, the residents who have Alzheimer’s or dementia keeps getting out the building because the alarms doesn’t work, high safety risk for those residents, residents didn’t have clean clothes to change into in the daily, had to wear the same clothes for weeks on in because the facility’s washer/ dryer was down, staff didn’t have towels/ hygiene products to give residents a proper shower, for the amount of money they are paying to be there they deserve better

They only pay $11/hr. What kind of care is your relative going to get for that?

If no stars was an option I would definitely choose no stars. The care at skilled nursing level was not good. My loved one was not showered, was not placed on the toilet or gotten out of bed for most meals. The Director of nursing as well as the administrator could be found in the parking lot smoking most of the day and did not respect my concerns or address them. I would not recommend the facility. A few of the nurses on the 4th floor were kind, most had no idea what the plan of care was and the nursing assistants were consistently unaware of plan of care or how to move the patient. Physical therapy tried, occupational therapy did not order and elevated toilet seat until the day prior to leaving the facility. The patient lost ground significantly during her 38 day stay and now is in an assisted living . Prior to going to Windemere she lived fairly independently at an independent living apartment. As a nurse of over 30 years I would strongly recommend that you continue your search if you are considering placing someone you care about here.

I believe they do. Call and ask. They are very helpful. Wonderful staff.

Do you request visits from therapy dogs? I know of a resident in Assisted Living who loves dogs &, I expect, would be delighted to see/pet one whenever possible

Windermere allows for therapy dog visits. Some folks there even have their own cat.

Do you have to be certified to work here or can you have the passion and experience?

Hi Tammie, depends what kind of work u r looking for. Certified nurses like LPN and RN are required on the Skilled nursing side and on the assisted living and independent living side I don't think they need to have certified staff however the managers are certified and licensed staff as far as I know. Hope this is helpful.

Please let me know what the registered nurse to patient ratio is on all shifts. Thank you for your time.

I have seen an RN on the assisted living unit (a lock down unit) twice in 2 years. I have also seen an occasional LPN. I don't think licensed nurses are there on a regular basis. Don'tthink the RN to patient ratio can be determined for any shift. My impression is that most care givers are medical assistants or aides. Have no idea if any are certified.
