Nice walk! It's fairly flat. There are not any huge hills to asend or decent. Great for kids on a bicycle. As some river access in a spot or 2 that my Dogs sure liked.

I love this trail!! I have been using this to jog, dog walk, long board and now cart my children behind while I bicycle! I love that you can choose to go far.or short and back and forth of you prefer!

Heading SE from the Macmillan trailhead there are great views of the mountain most of the way into Orting. I'd say the best view is about a mile from that trailhead. Continuing on from the Orting trailhead, the best view is on the far edge of town, near the skate park. This just just a short walk from the Orting parking area.
I believe so it is open to the public but to be sure you should call Orting town hall
