At the goat, there aren't that many younger players. Most seem to be 14+ at the youngest. But the community there is great and almost any of the staff and quite a few of the patrons would love to help him learn and play games with him! I've seen a few families there too on certain days with young kids.
They sell a lot of pokemon sealed products.
