We purchased a fairly expensive cello from Sam's Strings. Sam was very accommodating during the whole process, allowing us to compare different cellos and providing his expert opinion when we needed it. He also helped us procure a case and gave us useful tips on long term care and maintenance. He reinforced the soundpost and adjusted the cello to sound exactly as we wanted it to after we had purchased it. The whole experience was very satisfying. We highly recommend Sams's Strings.

From Domenico Montagnana to Francesco Goffriller is Sam from Houston/Katy TX I was looking for a new cello, a new one, with modern qualities, for a non-professional player. I am not an easy customer. I have a million of requests from peggs to pins and strings or the bridge placement, all based on previous many years of struggling with this wonderful instrument. My teacher Maxim recommended this time to work with Sam from Houston/Katy TX. Sam was very generous and attentive and provided me with one of the best instruments I used to work with (and I am not Anastasia Kobekina because I am not so God gifted). It is a Strad copy (all the string instruments start with Strad) super modernized, extremely responsive, with a wonderful tone, easy and stable tuning and everything somebody may expect from such a complex and wonderful instrument. We had with Sam several Zoom sessions of selection and adjustments of the instrument but when I got the instrument home it was a terrific surprise in how excellent quality and beautiful sound you may get from it. I will be forever thankful for the "magic" Sam poured into building this instrument! Thank You Maestro!
