The minimum wait time is at least an hour and they expect you to arrive 15 minutes. We have already waited 90 minutes

Twice this week I have needed to call for an appointment. Both times I was told, “Please hold, you are the 13th caller in line.” Both times it took more than 15 minutes for me to hear, “you are the next caller in line.” And BOTH TIMES, instead of being connected to a real person, I was told, “please leave your name and number and we will call you back.” Why didn’t they just give me that option in the 1st place??? Why waste my time???

I have been a client of this facility for several years starting with Dr. Bell whom I really had a great deal of respect for. Very friendly, personable, professional, knowledgeable good medical manner. I was referred to Dr. Nolan In the same office. I even referred my son to Dr. Nolan as well as other friends that also go to this facility and have the same complaint that I do. I also understand that this might be frustrating for the doctors to be overloaded with patients which means that when they see you their personalities and attitudes might not always appear to be pleasant as was my experience the last time I went. I just felt that Dr. Nolan was tired and responded to my questions With impatience which made me feel bad. I think it’s because I had a great deal of respect for him. The main issue is trying to get through trying to make an appointment and it’s just begun to get more difficult. I have glaucoma and cataracts I was trying to see if I should have cataract surgery my last visit but last month left me with a bad taste in my mouth…unfortunately from the doctor that was seeing me when I mentioned that I had a second opinion it seemed to me that the atmosphere shifted. I was told if I wanted to have cataract surgery I could. I don’t understand that medical advice. what is your professional advice is what I wanted to know. I was then sent to the surgical secretary who is chomping on gum and chewing it with her mouth open. They were charging $2000 per eye I am a senior citizen on Medicare. They were sending me to a facility and that was their fee I think. The secretary was not very personable, informative rather rude to be honest at that point I had made up my mind that I was not going to go back. However today August 11th after two days of trying to get through when I got through on sitting in the queue 12th person and finally got to be number one they plug me into The surgical answering machine by the way they haven’t called me back either. What’s the point of that? Today 12th person in the queue I became first person in the queue and once again they hung up. I called back and I was back to being 12th in the queue. I hung on for a little while and then I began to think obviously they don’t need my business and it’s very sad they started out great when Dr. Bell was my doctor at their older facility. I certainly believe in upward mobility. But this is just not good business practice. So I will be finding another ophthalmologist seeing if I can have my surgery and pray for those of you that remain In this cattle call mentality facility. Dr. ChéVonceil August 11, 2022.
