Other reviews about being mislead by management are spot on. I am writing this from my apartment that is currently 85+ degrees, because there is a policy here that the AC won't be turned on until June. I specifically asked the person showing this apartment if I would have control of the Heat/AC year round and she lied to our faces. If they had told us the truth we would not have moved in.

NOT RENT HERE, they deceived us they showed us a nicely renovated apartment and they rented us an old apartment with an aggressive neighbor, they concealed the fact that a problematic person lives there, on our mooving day we were attacked by this neighbor, also the manager was attacked and called the Police, the Police from Elk Grove Village arrested this neighbor, we refused to move into this apartment, Cypress Palace gave us another apartment but $300 more expensive. We had no choice, we had to accept it because it was winter and we had all our things in mooving truck. Do not trust them, their beautiful photos in the folder, as well as a nice apartment just for show, other apartments are old and dilapidated. Please see the pictures we have to paid for this garbage apartment $1500 every month plus 150 bills

I was suppose to move in here. They showed me a model unit that looked nothing like my apartment. Windows were moving, there was water damage by the bathroom sink. I decided to cancel my move in for safety reasons. They need to make sure apartments are ready to live in for future residents.

Full-disclosure, I haven't personally rented with with Cypress Place but I tried to today and my experience was less than ideal. I made an appointment at the top of the week to see one of their units. The lady on the phone made it seem like the only time I could do this was Friday at 4 pm and even then I wouldn't be looking at the unit I wanted. Which was fine, I'll take what I can get. So we get there and head over to the unit only to find that maintenance had turned the lock upside down making it so we couldn't get in. Mistakes are bound to happen but it just feels egregious when I make an appointment well in-advanced and there was no foresight to check if it was ready. Showing off a unit to a potential buyer feels like the bare minimum for a leasing office and they couldn't even do that. At this point I just wish I could the time I wasted on this place back.

Questions & Answers

How much are the utilities per month? Is the tenant responsible or some are included in the rent?

The air conditioning is free, the gas and water are shared with the rest of the building. Gas is only for hot water and heat. Everything else is electric. Our a average electric payment is about 70 a month.
