Quick and easy place to recycle

I made my first donation yesterday at CHaRM, It was very easy to book an appointment and the description of the site ensured that I packed my car in the order of the drop-off tents/trucks. There were SO many volunteers/workers who helped unload at each site. i will definitely donate on a regular basis now.

CHaRM has fundamentally changed how my household handles materials - which is wonderful because I'd become very disenchanted with single-stream curbside recycling system. Now I feel like I can participate again and do some good (that actually gets done). Great to feel like we are doing our part!

Excellent setup - well managed / organized. Booked an appointment, showed up on time, was in and out in 5 minutes. They were fully staffed, people available to help take heavy things. Super fast, easy, and friendly. Great resource.

I am in Cedartown regularly and also bring stuff to CHARM. I can make a run for you. Let me know. 😊
They do not offer people money for their recyclables. Some chemicals they charge to recycle, such as aerosols and other flammable liquids such as gasoline.
Yes we do accept cartons. CHaRM
Yes we do accept nail polish and you should leave it in the original bottle. Sorry you did not recieve a responce in a timely manner. Thanks for recycling!
I don't think so. Better to try Goodwill or your local Buy Nothing group.
There is shredding available for 50 cents per pound of paper.
Yes, they do. They’ll want you to remove any tape from the styrofoam before dropping it off.
I couldn't find a direct way to do that when I had to. In ended up just emailing them (look for contact info on their web site). They were pretty responsive.
Yes! Please remove from the cases.
I'm not Sure; There is a Website, Charm, Hard to Recycle, which Lists Accepted Items; I, Usually, Take Empty Water Bottles, Cardboard Boxes, and Plastic Grocery Bags...
They have a bin for CDs and DVDs in the electronics section.
No, nor #7
This is a link to our website listing all materials accepted and any fees associated. http://livethrive.org/charm/items-accepted/
Yes, but seats and all hardware must be removed.
They have a donation container for whole objects (e.g. a couch with cushions) but it isn't really intended for parts of a whole (e.g. cushions only) since it wouldn't be readily usable.
Do not know. Its Website gives items accepted. Must make appointment now. Very well managed. Everyone is wearing masks. 😷
Hi June, per LiveThrive's recent announcement on social media, CHaRM will be closed at least through Mon, March 23 and will reevaluate after that time. They'll be posting updates on the website about the re-opening date.
No, CHaRM is a non-profit organization and does not pay visitors for material they drop off to be recycled.
We accept lithium batteries for recycling.
Hi Andy, unfortunately plastic twine is not recyclable. Only plastics identified with a number can be recycled. Call 404-600-6386 for more details. Thanks!
We do not pay anything out, we are a nonprofit drop off facility.
Hello! We do have paper shredding. It is not shred on site, but the bins are securely locked away until pickup. We do not take humidifiers. Thank you!
So you mean like pop tips from the 70's and 80's? Can't say for sure but if clean, I would bet yes.
What type of material?
Yes, they do.
As long as they are not on a wheel base, they will take it.
Yes, they separate the colors...blue/green, brown, clear. Side note - It's very satisfying to throw them one by one into the recycling bins. :)
You can. There is a small fee. See their website.
Yes.
Yes. I have taken tires there.
Their website says “Paint – latex and oil base (First five 1-gallon cans free, each additional $2. First two 5-gallon buckets free, each additional $3.)”
Their website says yes - for a fee of $10 per set.
