Nice venue, with seats close to the stage. However, the chairs are way too small and cramped.
Steven Bell
Amazing experience in the upper balcony at the Mumford concert. The lighting and acoustics were so good. Architecture beautifully restored to its original state.
Chris Debenham
Cool venue to see a concert or show.
Bee Kay
Great venue, nice staff, quick help when needed. Beautiful location inside and out.

Busey! It's awful!
You can still enter venue after concert has started.
Street parking or lots... or garages. But you'll have to pay
The show on oct 7 is a metal band called bullet for my valentine
I didn't have any problems, my tickets were on my phone
Far-right 2 Doors at the main entrance on Woodward Avenue. Labeled just above the doors VIP in frosted glass.
I went last Friday March 25th and there wasn't a need for proof of vaccination or negative covid test.
I saw the set-up for on-site testing but don't know if they charge?
Proof of full vaccination (not including booster) Or negative COVID test within 72 hours of show(can be rapid test but at home tests are not accepted)
If you've got your card, bring it. It'll make the process easier and faster for everyone involved.
Yes! Hours are 12-6 on Wednesday and Friday. Also open on show nights 2 hours before door time.
Yes you need a vax card or test, masks aren't required, but encouraged. Most staff are wearing masks
Wheelchairs are welcomed. There is ADA seating & restroom, the staff are always happy to be of assistance.
Yes they lock your phone in a pouch that you get to keep on your person. They have people in the lobby that can unlock them for you during the show if need be. It's all listed on the site about the rules. They'll kick you out if you're caught with a phone that's not locked up in the show.
Everything you can get at a bar
Be prepared to pay for it. May be cheaper to get a hotel 15 or 20 mins outside of Detroit and Uber in
I am 5 foot 4 and I just went to the Fillmore on June 1st to see Machine Gun Kelly and had general admission. I didn't have any problems seeing him. The people that were first in line I think were at the establishment 12 hours before it opened!
Nope. I wish
Because the tickets are not on sale yet. Tomorrow at 10am
We were there Saturday and had balcony seats/ balcony general admission. There is an upper and lower balcony section that you have to adhere to but any seat in that section is how it worked that night.
State theatre bar (attached) might be open and is a good spot. If not, then a block away is the Centaur. There are plenty of amazing locations less than 3 blocks away.
Lots of parking, right across the street from Comerica Park.
Look for street parking near Cliff Bell's, around the streets behind the Filmore. Free!
We sometimes park at the casino and take the ppl mover. Check times of last train though. It changes depending on activities
Only clear bags are accepted and they must be clear. No colored zippers and tags or anything not clear. Straps can be clear but must not be anywhere other than the outside of the bag so nothing on the inside is hidden by them.
Check their website
Tour bus or merch table
Mon threw Wed12-5 & Fri 10a.m-6p.m and 2 Hours before every venue
Yes there was a separate line for it. Was quick when we were there.
They can never scanned. However I like to have paper copy incase I have a phone issue
Everything is GA per section. For example 1st balcony costs more than 2nd balcony.
Yes
Yes there is wheelchair seating
Be a "good band"
Yes, there's parking just to the west, both paid lots and on street parking. Downtown Detroit has undergone massive improvements in the last decade, so it may not match the image you have in your head. If you arrive early enough you should be able to park in the lot near Cliff Bell's (good for food and drinks) or near The Rusted Crow (a personal favorite) then walk a block to the Filmore. Parking near Ford Field would actually be out of your way. The lots near theatre have attendants and in the years we've been going downtown, even very late at night, we've had no problems. Hope that helps!
There is usually plenty of parking (pay) lots available
A rule of thumb for all concerts is music starts an hour after listed door time
No, ypu can only buy Fillmore tickets at the Fillmore box office
Only if you floss for the entire concert
I have worked here for approx 13-14yrs, backstage. A GORGEOUS venue, with lots of history, the architecture, staff, production team, etc.. Is there a particular show that you want to see? Get ahold of me if so, and I'll see what I can do for ya as a welcome to Detroit gift. Worst case, I could share some of my best ones that I've taken throughout over a decade. But definitely let me know if I can help ya out. Enjoy your stay in our city brw!
Yep. Same location, owners, etc... We did add 6 grand chandeliers, lots of aesthetic and technical stuff since then (audio, lighting, video, upgraded security and management). Come see a show soon. I'll be working backstage, but I guarantee that you'll love the old school of the State mixed with the upgrades of the Fillmore. Anyway, take care. -Matheus
I was there on 3/31/18 (saturday) and the parking lot directly to the left of the fillmore was $40.
I'm not aware of any but parking is rarely a problem
They're usually held about an hour or so before doors open for regular ticket holders. I've worked there for 13yrs, so things have changed throughout the years. Of course there are exceptions, but if you purchase the VIP Meet and Greet then there should be specific instructions for the time, location and details. I hope that helps. Take care.
Wristbands for anyone over 21 so they can drink. I go to shows here often.
Yes only if you are going to drink alcohol.
There are some tables with chairs.
No not really it depends if the main floor is it crowded which usually is
Probably not.
Yes there so many around within walking distance. We have tried alot of them and haven't been disappointed yet by anyone of them!!!
I honestly can't remember the last time a concert was canceled due to weather
Yes they have a coat check
Check your ticket, it should say when they open. Lots of great food and drinks in the area to check out. Research to see if lions, tigers, or Pistons play that day. Parking ad restaurants will fill up.
Wish I would have seen this a few days ago.... Would have hooked you up with a VIP... I always get a few VIP's for most shows at the Fillmore
Well there were a few young kids at the led Zeppelin Experience along with there parents, maybe 10 years old, you should be ok I think
I usually park at the fox parking lot, the underground parking just south is great as well.
There are VIP and ADA seats on the main floor most of the time. Some shows (rarely, in my experience) have full seating. If you can climb stairs, however, the seating in the mezzanine and the balcony are much more comfortable.
January 26 but things can change so I recommend calling the Gilmore box office
I work at the Fillmore and it depends on the show. Some shows, the main floor is open to everybody. However, this is usually not the case, and there will be guest service members at the gates checking to make sure you have main floor tickets (screenshots usually are not accepted). You will have the option to upgrade to main floor VIP. VIP includes a table on the main floor, free water and soda for the night, and waitress. The upgrade is different for every show, usually no lower than $45/seat.
When you purchase your ticket online it is offered then. I believe at some shows you may be able to still get something at the box office but I would look online first. I did use this service but I bought my ticket online with live nation.
There is some specific seating for handicapped individuals as well. It is possible for people in wheel chairs to attend concerts there.
Yes as long as its not sold out. The box office is right in front
Pearl Jam. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees. Still actively touring since '91.
If your phone Tix doesn't work they can print it at the box office with proper ID
Doors open at certain times but I could never find out when the show starts
No dress code that we noticed. Didn't pay attention to hats but didn't notice anyone looking to closely for clothing. Metal detector at the door.
