Hiked in and pitched a tent nearby. We ordered the food service and bathroom access online ahead of time. The food was fantastic! The first time I've ever enjoyed grits. The chicken & dumplings and green beans were some of the best ever. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Greg was a trip. Welcoming and funny. Getting a group together to hike in and stay at one of the cabins.

A small piece of heaven within the North South Fork Recreation area. Beautiful historic lodge with an amazing attentive staff. Eating by lantern was such a unique experience and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!!!!

Nancy, the safety zone is 100 feet from the boundary of the lodge. There is hunting allowed everywhere except in safety zones. You may contact The National Park Service for more information. Please let me know if you have further questions.

The short trail is 1.1 miles at the end of Fork Ridge Rd. Sings are clear and the dirt road is in good shape. The hike is steep in some areas with stairs.
It depends on which cabin you would like to rent and the amount of adults, children, and dogs that will be staying. To get this calculation, try visiting their website and see the booking or rates section. Also, note that it might get expensive depending on the amount of people in your party. However, the experience you will recieve is one of a kind. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, breakfast and dinner are included when renting a cabin, the entire area is breathtaking and a dream come true if you want to be in peace.
