Really good fresh sushi, and always a good time sitting in the back at the counter. The chefs are really friendly. The shop itself is also quite good, not huge, but a good selection of groceries for the Japanese kitchen. Prices overall are also reasonable. There's a quick takeout section with sushi and if you're lucky, a bento box. Really recommend the bento boxes.

This is not a sushi restaurant. If you are looking to be seated and eat, this is not your place to go. This is a store where you buy pre-made sushi from a fridge. Overall, the sushi was fine. Not the best. Not the worst. It was not freshly made, but it was fine. Better than Kroger sushi anyway. Decent place.

The only place my girlfriend goes for sushi. Much improved and expanded the last few years

Always a nice place to shop. Prices are a wee high but very quality.

We do not sell takoyaki to order in the restaurant, however we do sell frozen takoyaki as well as the sauce and toppings to make it at home. Our sister store, One World Market Novi, sells takoyaki as part of the pre-packed lunches as well as the ingredients to make it at home.
Yes they are but it’s not full service anymore. It’s more like eating in a food court where you take your purchased food and find a spot to eat
Jar, but this is more of a Japanese grocery. I find the most kimchi at H mart. 16 and dequindre roads. Worth the trip for selection and quality.
Stay pretty close to the time, you might beat it by a few minutes, but not many...
No, but they're limited capacity also order in advance
Everything seems to be following state regulations
Try HMart (Korean), or 168 Asian market.
They expanded into the storefront next door, which is the only part opened until they finish the renovations on the old storefront. They fish counter/seating is open and a few shelves and fridges from the market. Once they open both sides it'll be huge.
The wait is crazy long. I was there Tuesday at 3.45 and the wait was already over an hour and by the time I got my order at 5 they were at a 90 minute wait. So thats probably why they were closed. The construction was also crazy don't know how they can stand the racket all day. But the sushi was great as it has been for the last 35 years.
All prices are on their nenus. Which you can Google. But btw $3 and $4.50. If i remember correctly.
Yes
I don't think they have gluten free options. It's all traditional sushi.
You either have to park on the the street or in the lot behind it, but since they added the pedestrian crossing its a bit of a pain to turn left into it when there's a lot of traffic. Plus half the spots are "reserved" for Ace hardware customers. Otherwise if you go when rush hour isn't in effect it's not bad.
We do have gift certificates! There is no limit, but we do not give cash back so we suggest purchasing multiple certificates in smaller designations. Thanks for the question!
We do not sell Yuzu Sake at this time.
They also have small bits they couldn't use as sushi or sashimi. Inexpensive and excellent quality! You should cook it but i don't!
