Stopped in for dinner after we couldn't get into another place next door that required reservations and were limiting their seating capacity. This was a great find. We decided to experience the flavor of the food we ordered some appetizers - seafood strudel, pork belly, veal dumplings, tuna poke, and the fried artichokes plus some decadent desserts. The GM Gordy was very friendly and our server Erin was very helpful in making recommendations and explaining the dishes we considered. The strudel was very flavorful, great sauce, and tasty. The veal dumplings had a great tomato based sauce. Th e key lime pie was very good and had a whipped cream dollops that melted in your mouth.

A little dissapointed with this place. We came for our anniversary. The brussel sprouts app was no better than just roasting them a home with olive oil. The chicken was bland and my steak was just ok. Good mashed potatoes sides and not enough veggies. Bummed with the main courses that are pretty expensive for what they are. The créme brûllé was really good, though.

These buildings date back far longer than Mr. Flood's Party. Russell is correct though, it is the most popular answer to "What was this before the West End Grill?" We pay homage to Mr. Flood's Party by hanging a poster with Edwin Arlington Robinson's poem "Mr. Flood's Party" on our wall. Before it was Mr. Floods it was a German Bar in the 1940's/50's called Joe's Bar (I think). Briefly after Mr. Flood's Party it was Pauley's bar.
Hi John, The West End Grill always takes our guests safety very seriously. We will always follow local ordinances, laws, governor mandates, CDC requirements, health department regulations, and all things of that nature to the best of our ability. If regulations change again, we will comply. I have not heard about any new orders yet (I might be slow), so no. Today I will be operating business as usual. You are always welcome to call me as the day goes on.. Sometimes I get smarter closer to dinner time. We are so happy to have everyone coming back in. Thank you for your question and for your support. - Gordy 734-747-6260
