Set up my vintage components earlier this year and noticed that although they played, they no longer played perfectly. When I listen to LPs I need perfect. So after a lit of research and calls, I found Muse Audio. After a ten minute question and answer period, I knew this was THE PLACE to have quality Audio Components restored. So, I brought in my Sherwood S-9910 Amplifier/Receiver and Sony PS-X5 Turntable and they put them back to new. I also brought in my backup system - a Sherwood S-7910 and another Sony PS-X5 for a restore of them. I simply wouldn't trust this to anyone else.

Questions & Answers

I have an otherwise mint set of Specta 11 acoustats. One of the speakers has suddenly stopped producing mids and highs, probably a bad crossover. Can you fix it?

If it has a bad discrete analog crossover, I would be highly confident they can fix it.

I have a Thaedra 2 preamp made by Great American sound. Do you service these? Schematics are difficult to get so many people have refused to take a look at it.

I can take a look. What are the symptoms?

I have a 300cd player Sony serial number is 8809171 (March 2002). the turntable works properly but it has started to skip tracks on all cds so I think the cd player needs repairing. Please advise.

Skipping means it probably needs a new laser. Unfortunately Sony OEM lasers for this machine are almost impossible to find.
