I've had nothing but excellent service for the last couple of years while going thru nightmare of attempting to get unclaimed funds of my mom and dad's without spending at least 1500$ if I had an attorney helping me to get this. They were called numberous times and probably know me on a first name basis. Oh no, her again☹️😁. If one person didn't know the answer someone else does. 👍👍👍

Really poor communication I've called for a month and no one answers a phone. It always goes straight to hold and then just hang ups after a WHILE of waiting. Ridiculous for a gov institution.

Hopefully I never have to walk in this place again.

How much does it cost for guardianship over a parent?
They have forms on their website or you can drop by and they'll hand it to ya. But please think about what you're doing because forced treatment is often life-upending for the patient
No
Generally the court staff can't answer your questions because it would be considered giving legal advice. What you need to do about a fiduciary notice will depend on what the notice is about (ie filing forms, paying fees, etc.). If you can't understand what the notice is directing you to handle you should contact an attorney familiar with probate administration.
No next floor up
I'm with Ashley- The peace of mind that comes from hand delivering it, is worth the drive for me...
No you do not. Only register of deeds requires an appointment.
I'm sorry I have no idea.
Yes, as long as the court receives it PRIOR to the hearing date. Also, keep a copy to bring with you to the hearing just in case.
If he's sharing a fact, you may perceive it as a threat. An attorney is not going to risk his/her career over $5,000. But a judge will straight up tell you, you could possibly lose that $5,000 in attorney fees. Do yourself a favor & sign the papers. Money is the root of all evil. Someone dies, I'll show you one hell of a fight btw family members. How sad, there's always one. Not one of you are entitled. You didn't earn it. This person who passed wasn't smart enough to spend their money & leave the inherentents the bills. So count your blessings, sign the papers!! Peggy Petit
Just take it to the Oakland County Probate Court counter
You can call the office or come in to see if an estate has been filed.
There is a such thing as a court-ordered psychological/mental health examination.
Don't have a clue.
Yes, $20.00 per petition.
