My grandparents headstone was covered in weeds so bad u could barely see their name. Most of the headstones were covered in an overgrowth of thorns and weeds. This cemetery is severely neglected and they should be ashamed! I will be contacting the local news journalists to shine some light on this atrocity

Mr. Lucas was very rude my mother was buried August her stone was not replaced until December he said he was very busy and my mother was at the bottom of the list It wasn’t until I had someone email him and that’s when he got on it right away I am not happy at all we wasn’t even offered a tent he said it was the undertaker‘s job to offer that however as reading I see that Union Hill Cemetery was supposed to be the one to offer The tent. I would not recommend anybody to go there as long as Mr. Lucas is there. I’m still trying to find out who I can talk to over Mr. Lucas not happy The grounds are not taken care of especially in the corner where minorities are I go there every Sunday the lawn is not move the leaves are all over the place there’s sticks all over the place it’s just a mess back in that one corner however the front part looks very nice explain that to me really considering contacting a lawyer because I don’t like the way Mr. Lucas treated me when I questioned him about why my mother stone was not placed since September would not recommend Union Hill cemetery

I'm writing to provide feedback on Mr. James Lucas, the superintendent at Union Hill Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA. I can not overstate the positive nature of the experience that I had with Mr. Lucas during what was obviously a very difficult time for our family. When my father passed unexpectedly, I was forced to navigate a path that I had no experience with. Mr. Lucas gave me confidence that Union Hill was the proper place for our families final resting spot, and the compassion and patience that he and his team displayed gave us comfort that our space would always be well cared for; not only prior to making the decision regarding where to purchase plots, but in the time since.
