i have never gotten bad food from happy star. i have been going here for years and i live it every time the food is always fresh and delicious and is made super fast. the owners are nice as well.

I understand cutbacks and increases prices during these times but this place does anything to get an extra penny from their customers.

Ordered S18 the Hunan Dynasty which was supposed to be Shrimp and Beef Hunan per their website. I was given Spicy Shrimp and some sad excuse for Hunan Beef. The Hunan Beef had some peppers and mushrooms and tons of onions. Very Cheap. I called to ask why the shrimp was in a red sauce. The woman on the phone was clueless and handed me to a man on the phone who told me it was correct. The menu never said anything about spicy shrimp. I told him I'd send him a picture of the menu I saw online and he was going to send me one from his side. He called back about 5 minutes later. No apology, no photo. He must have realized he was wrong and offered to either remake the dish or have me bring back the food. This was well past lunch time so we obviously had already eaten it. I asked for a credit for next time and was told no. Gave up and decided it's my loss, just a lesson learned and going back to my normal Chinese place. Moral of the story: If you don't want to wait till your favorite Chinese place is open, don't go here!
