When grieving the loss of a loved one, the last thing people need to feel is as if the process is nothing more than a business transaction. In speaking with staff at several funeral homes, I unfortunately interacted with individuals who were totally insensitive to my needs. I scheduled an appointment with Hughes Funeral Home and my siblings, and I decided during that meeting to utilize their services. From beginning to end, the staff were empathetic and very professional. We felt comfortable as the courteous Hughes staff guided and directed us through this difficult process. At no time did we feel rushed. The Hughes staff were polite and respectful as they gently walked us through the initial meeting and discussion regarding the type of service we envisioned for our mother. They were in constant communication, thorough and paid meticulous attention to the details. The makeup artist and her daughter did a wonderful job and were available during the final viewing to address any concerns my family and I may have had. The viewing and the funeral service were presented in a professional, respectful, and compassionate manner! Many Thanks to the Hughes Funeral Home. My family and I appreciate and are grateful for the arrangement and presentation of my mother’s homegoing; it was a beautiful and dignified occasion!

The family of Deborah Barrett was extremely pleased with the services provided by Hughes Funeral Home from the time they came into the home to pick up the body to the end of the services at the cemetery. They were very professional, helpful and sympathetic to us and to the circumstances we had to face. We were also pleased with all the referrals for additional services such as the florist, the printer and the restaurants. We were from out of town but they made the process seamless. We would use them again and highly refer them to others. Thank you so much.

I was not pleased with their service, yes they did give us a discount, but that does not matter, when you are saying goodbye to your Loved one in your final goodbyes, no one and I mean no one has the right to interject in the services as the owner did he was constantly disrupting the services while referring to how little time they have using Covid as an excuse, in which I did not understand okay I know Covid is going on but that does not excuse your rudeness on interrupting my mother’s last and final visitation, not happy they rush you and have a nerve to say they have other services planned, is that our families fault? Ugh terrible. no regards for your family. I would not recommend them, go to Campbell or the church.or even Ledford. My feelings my experience. Sincerely Cecile McNeese
