N-scale rolling stock inventory was high and with good prices, staff was friendly and helpful. They were low on N-scale locomotives during my visit but the ones I did see were at affordable prices good store

I have come in twice. The first time I stopped to ask about train options for my almost 6 year old son. I was essentially dismissed and told they didn't have anything for younger kids, everything is delicate and for serious collectors. The second time I was walking by with my son and he begged to go in, and I relented. Other than looking up to tell me they don't allow drinks (I was holding a drink, I put it down, no big deal) we were studiously ignored. I understand most of the train pieces are delicate. But my son was heartbroken. If the owner had simply been kind and engaging, we would have been happy to buy a book or something to support the small business that is in an area of interest for my kid. But he clearly is only interested in selling to serious adults. Model trains is a pretty niche market, and the only way it will continue is if you get younger generations interested and engaged. We won't be back, we'll drive up north to other train stores if it means getting good customer service.

I'm not sure why this store is open for even the four hours a week that it is. We just watched several people (ourselves Included), stand at the counter with cash in their hands (the store is cash only), then put their items down and leave, while the owner, (apparently the only one working there) was in the alley? making a deal on someone's used train collection to add to the already huge unorganized pile that is this store. Don't waste your time going here.

Cool place to buy, run, and check out trains I buy all my tracks from there and where I bought the basis for my custom ttte OC Harry And where I got my n scale Thomas collection AND where I got my Bachmann Thomas windmill! Cool place and robs a cool guy looking forward to going again!
