I have to say that I just bought an absolutely beautiful outdoor patio set from Tropicraft! I received very courteous and attentive help from the sales people that were there. They were all extremely concerned about my needs. They are a family owned business. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I will never buy any patio furniture from anywhere else. Their products are top notch and very reasonably priced. I have been shopping at Tropicraft for 18 years❤️❤️

Businesses usually aim to make money. That is not the case for Tropicraft Furniture. Not only was I “greeted” with the rudest “are you buying something today?” but this was after 45ish min of essentially standing there waiting to be helped. Why would I stand there for 45 minutes? Because after the first 20 min of my waiting while the owner(s) lounged, took a very inappropriate phone conversation with I’m guessing estranged family (I get it…we all have difficult family members but keep it off the floor), and started to fall asleep/nod out in their chairs…I was basically determined to talk to someone. Oh and the dog that roams the store just goes to the bathroom on the floors. Maybe they didn’t notice but it didn’t appear that way. A parrot or two are given free range too which was cool until it wasn’t. Super overpriced. Yes that includes their “sale prices”. Their info if you search for them says gender neutral bathroom…false. Lists a bunch of wheelchair/accessibility features…also FALSE. Actually, they have a lot of false information listed online. Avoid. They aren’t eager to help you anyways.

I ordered a fire pit in April 14, 2021. I was told due to Covid delays to expect to receive it in August at the latest. It is now November. Has anyone called me from the store. No. I called twice, once in August and then in October. The fire pit is sitting in a storage unit, but no one is avaliable to pick it up and ship it to Ardmore. I paid $3,000 and considering canceling this order. Their response when I asked them when can I expect the shipment is "we don't know". I knew Covid would delay things, but the item just needs to be delivered to the store and has been sitting for two months. Ridiculous. Update: 11/27/21. Still no firepit. I called today. They said the top of the fire pit was shipped, but it was lost. They are telling the company to make a new one. I am hoping by Jan 1, 2022, I get a fire pit people. Tropicraft has not offered any money back or store credit for this issue. This is upsetting. Update: Feb 2022. I was told that the showroom ordered the wrong firepit in April 2021. I wanted round, they ordered square. The sales person asked me if I still wanted the product. I said no, I did not get what I ordered and therefore do not want the product. The sales person told me that if I wanted the round firepit it would now be subject to 2022 pricing. I asked for a refund. In my view this is not customer service. A week later I got a call from the store asking me if I wanted to order the round fire pit I had attempted to order almost a year before for the 2021 price. I had lost faith in this company at this point. The lack of updates on the product, coupled with the lack of transparency on what had happened. It sounded like the company was befuddled why I wouldn't just take the square pit and be done. I lost faith in the follow through of the company and got my deposit back and will not be ordering anything again. Shame, as I like to buy local but the experience was off putting.
