It is not very big, but worth the time finding. World War 1 & World War 2 era history in Salt Lake.

Nice neat cemetery. By chance I found out that there is a memorial for German prisoners of war there. You are not forgotten !!

Rich in history if you take the time. There are some tombstones here that you will immediately know are a part of history. Can you name all of the countries that people who are buried here are from. Not all are from the USA

Fort Douglas Cemetery is one of a kind in Utah. Home to some of the earliest plots in the state and immacuately upkept, one can spend hours here relfecting on the sacrfices made over the last 150 years. Come on Veteran's Day and you're bound to see some state officials there.

Has the recent snowfall made it difficult to access?

It should be ok to access from the outside. Inside the cemetery it is snowy and might be icy.

How is it we can not locate anyone in charge to have a spouse buried with a veteran already in place ASAP at the Ft Douglas cemetery ? Mother needs to interred September 28, 2019 Please reply cremation is taking place AM tomorow
