Well it's the only big park in the area so you pretty much have to like it. Has plenty events throughout the year so it's catering pretty much to everybody. They have several 5k walk-runs, fishing derby, and the all popular fourth of July celebrations. Plus I've even been to a couple funerals and weddings there. Limitless uses.

I wish my little town had a park like this. There is a basketball court, toys, nice paths for humans and pets, water for wildlife and fishing. I wouldn't recommend swimming in this...eww. The park is host to festivals like the Go 4th( something like that) July 4th celebration. The people are cordial without being overly friendly.

Beautiful place I took my sisters and cousins out here and we had a blast. I wish I had brought my bike they had a pathway where you can walk and ride along. The kids had a great time playing on the park as well, great place to have a get together!

What a lovely park! There is such beautiful landscaping with graceful old trees arching over the roads around the park. Bike/walking paths along the perimeter of of the lake, and there are so many sweet places to quietly sit and reflect, as well as fun areas for children to happily play. This is the nicest place I have seen in all of Longview.

Maybe the sheer amount of people and activity around fourth of July scared them off?
I don't so. That's not a truck route for semis to use. The parking by the lake is for regular vehicles.
Yes
I have never seen anyone swim in the lake, lots of feeding ducks and geese.
Do you mean can you use a metal detector there? Yes you can. Good luck treasure hunting.
