I initially checked online for replacing my windshield and the estimate was $275. Which I thought was reasonable. I went to schedule and the earliest appointment was 5 days from today. I thought I would drive up to the store and check to see if they could fit me in earlier. They gave me an estimate of $425. I told them that I already had an estimate much lower and they could give no good reason for there being $150 difference from the same company at the same store. Makes a person wonder about age discrimination and profiling. I am just a 50ish white guy driving a decent truck that is paying out of pocket for a windshield replacement. Probably what happened was he gave me the cost they would charge if it was an insurance claim. Either way, it is sketchy.

Everything went well I just don't think it's fair of them to pass on the bogus $35 "recycling fee" onto their customers. Just throw the old ones in the dump that's what it's for. Glass is a rock.
