High prices, low selection. If this was the only store you shopped at, you'd have the impression that we were in the midst of a nation-wide severe food shortage. That's not the case, as sister stores don't seem to have the same issues that the Admiral store does. Barren shelves, bereft of staple items like tuna fish, chips, beans, even bread. Today the fruit/produce area looked like it was ransacked by herbivorous looters. The staff is gracious as always (they're the only reason for 2 stars instead of 1), from the coffee people to the cashiers, they're great. But I can't in good conscience keep shopping here as the high prices are no longer justified by the quality or selection of food. The store never bounced back from the pandemic like almost every other store has, either in terms of staffing or selection. Whoever is managing your logistics probably should not be.

This location has gone SO far downhill in the last year. I used to LOVE grabbing lunch with a friend outside or picking up dinner for my family from the deli on those hurried weeknight evenings, but I honestly can’t remember the last time I was in there after 6:00 and they had ANY DELI service or hot food! I get that folks get sick and call out, but after this has been going on for AN ENTIRE YEAR, why won’t they bring on additional staff? They advertise the deli and hot food being open until 8:00 or 8:30, but it NEVER is. Also, the last time I grabbed sushi there, I quickly became sick, either from rotten fish or they mixed in shellfish and didn’t mark it. AND last time I got the lox bagel, the salmon smelled absolutely foul and was inedible. Again, I imagine these problems could be addressed by adding staff? I used to think Met Market was the superior North Admiral high end grocery, but no longer. It’s insulting for them to continue to raise prices without at least maintaining consistent quality and service.

We have always had a positive experience at the Met Market in West Seattle, but today I met my local hero Bruce in the seafood department and want to share my appreciation for his stellar customer service! Coming from the east coast it has been difficult to find fishmongers who will grind fish and provide bones for gefilte fish in Seattle. After telling Bruce what I was looking for, he spent the time to talk to me at length about the different fish/which would be best substitutes, and how he has been grinding fish for his Jewish customers since the late 90s. Further, Bruce planned to call me personally later in the day once he was ready for me to pick up a set of black cod bones he offered put aside for me. I cannot express how wonderful it feels to have finally found a local expert who understands what I need and is so genuinely willing to go above and beyond to help. Thank you Bruce and team!!

An exceptional market/grocery store. Great selections, expertly merchandised. Samples of items to tease on. Excellent stock of local delicacies like a Poke Bar or Lopez Island ice cream or perhaps Ellenos Marion Berry or pumpkin yogurt.

I saw Mac and cheese and some meat pies in the ramekins last week
Yes with limited hours
Yes
No they don't
Yes! You can find them in Housewares or aisle 6 (at the Admiral location)
Each dish is individual in instructions. If microwave, start at 3 minutes. Oven is safer if unsure as you control heating and drying. 375 for 8-12 is optimal
You better call for that one.
Not really. I'd suggest an Airbnb. Buses run down California often.
