Such a charming little space. Everyone who works there is always so nice to our pup when we bring her. The place itself is very clean and there’s lots of plants to look at. Employees are knowledgeable and really helpful, no wonder our dog adores this place :)

Some items are reasonable. Massive selection of regular plants including vegetables, outside decor, pots, trees, food court with pastries and coffee and koi pond.

Been here twice now and will always come back. Great variety of plants to choose from, fantastic service, plenty of employees with helping hands. Cafe shop is a must every time we go now. Tags and descriptions makes it an enjoyable shopping experience.

Hello! We carry several organic lawn fertilizers as well as lime (which can be helpful if you have issues with moss) and September and October are great times to apply. We like both E. B. Stone Organics Nature’s Green Lawn Food and Dr. Earth Super Natural Lawn Fertilizer. We'd be happy to talk to you about our products and make a recommendation for your lawn.
They do have delivery services. I definitely do know they deliver trees. https://www.swansonsnursery.com/delivery-services
Hi Diego, Dogs are allowed in all of our buildings except in the café area. We love dogs and are happy to accept pets!
Hi Andrew. Here are the varieties we have ordered for the bare root season. We can't guarantee that our growers will get them all to us, but we should receive many of the following: Hardy Red Nectarine, Frost Peach, Q1-8 Peach, Puget Gold Apricot. Apples: Honeycrisp, Cosmic Crisp, Gravenstein, Beni Shogun, Bramley, Ashmeads Kernal, 4-Way Combo, Scarlet Sentinel, Golden Sentinel, Northpole.
If you call, they can tell you what they have in stock. There were lots of decorative grasses in disposable pots for sale when I was there today.
How do you get rid of mold on coffee plants? The combined or alternate use of copper‐based and systemic fungicides is advised for the most effective treatment. Copper-based fungicides are usually used when there is a small amount of infection and systemic fungicides are used for large outbreaks
They have a nice native plant sections. I've requested manuals plants, sometimes it takes a while to get them but I've gotten every one.
They don't ship
Yes, they do
You would need to call.
You can purchase over the phone and then have them load your trunk via a curbside pickup. They were super helpful and friendly over the phone, but keep in mind they aren't setup like target/home depot/etc with an app and special curbside parking.
I was able to sign up for a time without creating an account.
I'm not sure. They have had them, best to call first
Swanson's could answer more definitively if you call them.
Standard locally owned nursery prices.
I believe they do! Hope this helps
Hi Alison. We sell fresh cut trees but we do not sell them pre-lit. We do have a delivery service. You can find out more at: http://www.picktheperfecttree.com/ !
Hi Linda. We do! Everything is up and ready, including our decorated yurt, model train village, and more!
Hi Eduardo, while we don't carry the ilex vomitoria plant we will have the berry branches available for sale during the holiday season.
Hi Kristen, we sell bales of straw but no hay at all. For Timothy hay, you might try a feed store like Portage Bay Grange in the U District.
I don't think so.
Hi Pam. We are happy to take them back. Some are re-used by our growers. Others are recycled like other recyclable materials in Seattle facilities.
Hi Wanda. We do carry Magnolia grandiflora. We have several varieties in different sizes, including 'Alta', 'Little Gem', 'D.D. Blanchard', and 'Brackens Brown Beauty'.
They do have gardenias, l don't know about delivery...
Hi Sylvia! We aren't on the Eastside (we are located in Crown Hill near Ballard) but we do carry a variety of pansies, with the largest selection in early spring and in fall. On the Eastside, you might want to try Molbak's.
Hi Tim. We carry roses from late March through fall, depending on availability. Our best selection of roses is in May.
Hello. Sorry for the delay in answering. We do still give out swan dollars and holiday dollars as a part of our customer rewards program.
Please ask at the store or on the phone. We are Google volunteers and cannot answer such specific questions.
Hi Janette. Your California Lilac could definitely recover, as long as the majority of roots are not broken. You may want to add a stake to help it stay upright after you stand it back up and rebury the roots. Feel free to call us at 206-782-2543 for more specific help!
Hi Dianne. We have several philodendrons in stock right now. We have Lacy Tree (P. selloum) and we also have some Monstera deliciosa as well.
Hi! We will start getting in some in mid-to-late January, and have a full selection by early February. Are you looking for anything in particular? We won't be getting any crabapples in bare root, but we should see some potted varieties over the next month!
This is a good question for the store directly.
Hi, John. We do have a few Garry Oak plants in stock. They are all in 15-gal. pots and are $235.
Their inventory changes seasonally, but i would recommend calling them to be sure. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.
Hi Sayaka! Sorry if we overlooked this question. We have several red rhododendrons in stock right now and will get lots more in late March and early April.
Hi Patricia! We do. We have a variegated Daphne odora 'maejima' and also a green Daphne odora 'Zuiko Nishiki'. Pretty good amount of each kind in a few sizes.
Hi Chancey! Unfortunately we don't have any right now, but we will most likely have them in stock in late January/early February.
Yes! We have at least 2 dozen varieties available right now. Are you looking for something specific?
HI, Winnie. We do sell Kiwis. We have three varieties right now, all in 1 gallon-sized pots.
Hello! We do sell Paw Paw trees but do not have any in stock as of 9/14/2021. We are expecting some 1 gallon pots ranging from $18-$24 in Mid-October (4 varieties-Mango, Overleese, Shenandoah, Sunflower). We should also have some larger trees in February 2022.
Hi Michael. Now is a great time to mulch as it helps to conserve moisture in dry weather. As we move into fall the mulch will also help protect plant roots from the cooler weather. We recommend a couple of inches of a high-quality compost like our G&B Soil-Building Conditioner. Be sure not to put the mulch right up to trunks of trees but instead leave a little space around them. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Hello. We carry Neem oil - a natural pest and disease treatment extracted from the Neem tree - is that what you are looking for?
No. Not in store display garden ? Maybe ask manager can get ideas ? Good luck.
Call Swanson's Nursery.
Call them, they will know.
Yes, Thursday is our senior discount day for everyone over 55!
Hello. Larger houseplants can range from $69.99 to over $400. Are you looking for anything in particular?
The bus stop is located close by but it is a small walk. Recommend checking out the park well you're there!
Yes
I'm not sure if they have any left, but they had them several weeks ago.
Absolutely. The houseplant area.is in the building to the left and rear past the entrance (it also has the cafe, bathrooms, and a koi pond.) Also check the sale area off to the left on a corner as you approach the cash registers - they often have decorative pots. For terra cotta, they are separate, so ask one of the staff. I think they are usually past the trees/veg outside section.
Selection and availability varies by season. They are easy to get a hold of by phone and can quickly answer your question. They do have a large selection of plants, so you'll likely find something you need.
Yeah. I take my dog there all the time. On a leash and well behaved dogs are welcome.
January 13 to February 4th.
I can't remember if the workshops require reservation or are first come first serve. You would want to call them and arrive extra early to make sure you get a seat!
Yes! It's by appointment. So call ahead before going.
Their hours are posted 9-6.might need to call closer to the holiday though to make sure
