Jennifer (wife) and I are 48 and 54. We live in Moses Lake; but have reason to visit Seattle several times per year. This is an easy church to visit and try out. This church offers a comfortingly wide age and relationship-status spectrum in fellowship. There is a lovely presence of many, many families but also a remarkable number of internationals, singles, empty nesters, no-kids-yet’s and middle agers+, too. There is a warm (but no overly-gushy) greeting and people will be interested in you but not at all make you feel pressured or invaded. It is just right. The music at the early service is good (haven’t tried the later service). Not too loud yet not too fusty and they toss in some sings with which I am not familiar - refreshing. The fellowship also has a heart and interest in addressing some of Seattle’s challenges. This is no insular “country club” group with blinders on as to what is going on in their city and world. Jennifer taught Bible/theology for many years at a private boarding school and assures me the teachings are very Biblical and not out in the theological weeds. Regardless of whether you are completely new to attending church, returning after years of non-attendance or intermittent attendance or that perfect little gold star of a little never Miss A. Sunday parishioner, you will feel comfortable here. One of the better churches I have ever visited. We have been back since. Happy Easter, everyone!

Straight from the Word! Pastor Adam must spend his entire non eating hours studying scripture. I leave excited to return next Sunday! Plus the Spirit is most definately moving significantly amongst the body here. Just feels like the right place to be personally, a place to be built up as well as prepared for reaching into the community in big ways!

Great setting for worship. Awesome volunteers. Secure children’s area with dedicated staff. A definite must visit for Seattle churches.

Great preaching from the team here, encouraging as well as convicting without condemning. I live abroad in an environment that doesn't have any churches with great teaching, so I've been listening to Adam's sermons on podcasts for the past 3yrs, which has brought me much encouragement and light. Thank you DCC!!!

I was reading about a nurse hitting the streets handing out sandwiches and water. Is the church doing anything like that in the city? Just asking.

Hi Corrie, our Communities (small groups) generally have a mercy ministry that they partner with in their local neighborhoods. Once a year we do a big serve even called Serve the City where we go to a local public school to help with maintenance projects such as weeding, mulching, painting, and other various projects that they need help with. We also have various mercy ministries that we are involved with such as CareNet, R.E.S.T, UGM, Foster care and adoption to name a few. I hope that helps to answer your question.

When will you be doing baptisms for adults again?

Hi Faye! There was an awesome round of baptisms just recently on Easter, and the next round will be this August. There's normally a short class about a month or so before to learn about baptism and talk with a pastor about it!
