One of the few original looking places. They still have the phones in the booth to use to place your order. Plus they still make the root beer in house so it is amazing! If you live in Des Moines it is soo worth the trip. You just don't find this quality of fast food anymore.

I walked in all the teenagers were at the counter talking no greeting until I stood there the one young lady finally asked me if I would be dining in or eating out and took me to the register. My first indication of issues should have been that my soda had no ice what so ever in it. If I didn’t want ice and wanted warm soda would have asked for no ice. Once I got my food asked about my onion rings which resembled French fries after getting in my car it looks to be the remains out of the bottom of the bag they have no flavor and half cooked. When I addressed this with them they flat looked at me like I inconvenienced them and went back to chatting. Customer service goes a long way hopefully they can find more time to be more attentive to the customers instead of socializing

As of mid-Feb 2021, our dining room is open at 50% capacity. Tables have been moved to keep customers distanced from each other and every other table is closed off. We are using salt and pepper packets to avoid unnecessary touch points, ketchup/mustard bottles aren't kept on tables and are sanitized after each use, and we are sanitizing dining tables/chairs and booths/napkin holders/etc. after each use. Our staff wears masks and practices constant hand washing. Hand sanitizer and masks are available for customers if they do not have them already. We are operating under the highest levels of cleanliness with more sanitization measures in place than ever to make our customers and staff feel safe. For those not comfortable coming inside, we have plenty of drive-in spots ready for you!
