Was involved in a hit and run and when I approached the drives he displayed a gun towards me. I called the cops and the dispatcher says "I don't believe he has a gun" (How would she know?) The individual with the gun leads me to his apartment, gets out of the car and chases me with his weapon in which I drive away. I later spot officers and lead them to the individuals car. They tell me without a 3rd party witness they can't search him for a weapon. I'm 1000% sure I saw that weapon. Ames PD doesn't care about protecting the community..Not one bit.

The police parking division is the worst. They think they’re so cool driving their tiny trucks and threatening tickets to people when they’re waiting for someone to get picked up. I also got several tickets even though I parked on the app. I appealed and got no reply, instead I got a letter from collections.

After 10pm u can call to make a complaint to the police department and see I'd the can come out and ask the people to stop and this tell the police that u haven't slept in a week
