Most reviews are about the great food, wonderful people, excellent service and the warm friendly experience you feel when you are there. The VFW has a mission - Veterans helping Veterans. The commander of this post is very passionate about helping Veterans. I know because he helped me go from being homeless for three years to putting my life back together. I have spent the last couple of months in a VA hospital in Cleveland Ohio. I will be back in Owensboro, KY in a few days. The commander will be the first person I see when I arrive. I need to repay the help he gave me so that he can continue to accomplish his mission of helping Veterans. If you read this review I encourage you to donate what ever you can to help him accomplish this mission.

As far as I know yes. The American League has moved a few times.
No you don't have to be a member, nor have a member sign you in. They will ask you to sign the sign in book by the front door. Been there many times.
