Love this studio, teachers and staff. My daughter has been dancing there for 9 years and we consider it our home away from home. The dedication the teachers show their students is remarkable. They are not only growing into beautiful dancers, but beautiful young adults due in part to their experiences with this amazing studio.

My daughter danced here for a number of years. Once the running of the studio shifted from the owner to 2 of the instructors, everything went downhill. The best teachers left over the next couple of years and now they are down to 1 awesome hip hop teacher, a rude jazz teacher who seems to hate children and a formerly mediocre ballet dancer with a major superiority complex and no professional experience to run a ballet program. As a result, the jazz/lyrical/hip hop classes are ok, as long as the dancers don’t mind being emotionally bullied by their instructors. The ballet instruction is beyond subpar. The teachers pick favorites, which they treat like gods and demean every other child there. I miss the old Dance Expressions; where the teachers were caring and knowledgeable, the quality of instruction was incredible and my kid didn’t come home crying because her teacher told her she was “awful” or rolled her eyes at her or called her names. A tip for those instructors, if you don’t like kids, don’t be a teacher. Sadly, it isn't just my dancer experiencing this, it is a large number of kids. These kids start out with a great love of dance and are beaten down til they end up giving up on dance altogether. Long story short- go somewhere else for dance instruction.

The ballet technique was bad in some cases. One of my friends classes ballet dance was a really bad hip hop dance and she told me she hated it and the teacher didn’t teach them anything all year. She said that she wished she danced somewhere else so then she could actually learn ballet. The lyrical is really good and I completely recommend it. On the other hand if you want to learn classical ballet take it somewhere else because you might be disappointed even though some classes can be good.
