The seared sesame crusted tuna with spinach/grape tomatoes/garlic is outstanding as well as the marmalade whiskey sauce pork chop. Excellent service, too.

I would have gave five stars if the nice gentleman behind the bar was our waiter. I recently moved to Elizabeth City, from California..This was my fourth time, at The Mill. I normally do carry out, but today I dine in. Because my son drove 2 hours to get to Elizabeth City so we could celebrate his (retirement 20yrs, Marine🇺🇸.) Our waitress was (the girl with the bleach blonde hair part down the middle, stopping at her neck.) This waitress was so rude and ignorant, she never gave us her name, never said hello and never smiled. The whole time she's looking at us, as if she was mad, and rolling her eyes. (I should have followed my intuition and left. Because I spoke to her twice and she did not speak back. But it was a Sunday, and most downtown restaurants was close.) Our waitress only asked us, "what do you want to eat and drink." Even when we was trying to have small humorous chit- chat with her, she looked at us with such disdain. We were the only Black people in the restaurant at the time. This waitress made sure we felt very uncomfortable throughout our brunch. When it was time for us to get our bill my son had to raise his hand!. The nice gentleman behind the bar came and brought us the bill. Our waitress never came to pick it up, so my son got up to take it to her. The gentleman behind the bar took it from him, and gave it to our waitress. We still gave her a very good tip$, but our waitress had the audacity to not say Thank You or Goodbye . My question is how many other Black people have she did this to and got away with it, in your establishment. Needless to say, I nor my family will NOT be going back.

We are currently working at a reduced guest capacity, all staff are wearing masks and kitchen staff wear gloves and change them often. We request guests wear masks while in the establishment unless actively eating/drinking. Tables and chairs are sanitized before each new guest seating.

There are a few options yes. We carry two dishes that can be prepared vegan on request ( we will make without using butter ) Patatas Bravo's which is a fried potato with tomato and aioli, an artichoke ajio which is a braised artichoke in a tomato base. We also carry a hummas platter. On occasion we also feature vegan dishes.
