They were going to sue me for trying to inform. Ends up being a plague. The TRUTH is most likely far worse.

I just recently had the fortunate opportunity to meet and work with Warren and Sara. I help care for a senior mother. My experience was beyond expectations. I want to thank you and let you know I appreciate your work for my Mom and the community.

I went with a friend to play bingo. We where a little nervous (since the last senior center we went to was rude because we are very young) but we had no need to be!! Everyone was amazing, helpful and kept asking us to come back. I have never been that welcomed to anything in my life and can't wait to go back!!

Call the Senior Center (883-0703) and speak to Warren Botino. There is a program called Senior Companion he may be able to connect you with. Closed today, opens at 9 am tomorrow.
Here's the basic info on the Produce on Wheels program - https://www.carsoncityseniorcenter.org/produce-wheels The current hours are 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM.
Best place to go is https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-vaccine-for-quad-county-seniors-70-and-older/ - If you get a message saying there is no appointments until May, then all appointments have been booked. Best to keep trying daily as there may be more appointments opening up or more clinics. There is high demand, so patience is a key. Hope this helps.
There are a variety of dancing classes at the Center. Check out our activities calendar from our website - https://www.carsoncityseniorcenter.org/calendar?tid=4.
The cost of renting our dining room varies depending on the length of time your are considering. For more information, call the main number 775-883-0703 and ask to talk to Tiffany, our activity and volunteer coordinator.
Yes
Volunteers from AARP provide income tax preparation for free. Please call our main number 775-883-0703 to make an appointment. Hope this helps.
We are currently very limited with pickups due to staff shortages. If there's a way that you could bring them to the store during business hours, that would be great. Tuesday through Saturday 10am-5:30pm.
Hi Sue, Give us a call Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm and ask for Warren. He is the guru for senior resources and should be able to help out. 775-883-0703. Hope this helps. Michael, Business Manager
We are not administering vaccines at the Senior Center. The control is all with Carson City Health and Human Services. We have been a site for Tier 1 shots only. Best place to learn more is https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/covid-19-vaccine-for-quad-county-seniors-70-and-older/ - This press release has a link in the middle that take you to locations for events available for Tier 1 and folks 70+. Hope this helps.
There is a club in Carson City called the Natives and Newcomer's Club. They obviously wanted to be more open to new members. Here's the best way to connect with them - through their Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/CarsonCityNativesandNewcomers/ Hope this helps and we also know that many clubs are not meeting in person due to COVID-19. Keep your eyes out for our reopening at some point in the future (no date as yet). Michael Salogga Business Manager
Hi Lisa! Sunday bingo is on the 2nd and 4th Sunday-must be 21 or over. Thursday bingo is 1-330pm and is an activity for folks 60 and over. See carsoncityseniorcenter.org for more information. Michael the business manager

I'm really tempted to say "Sunday" but that would be too cheeky... Sunday Bingo is on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month with doors opening at noon and the games beginning at 1pm. There is a special bingo happening on Monday, September 2nd. Same times with a little different game set up with BBQ'd hot dogs($1) and hamburgers ($2). Doors open at 10AM and games begin at noon for this special bingo day. As always all proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels. Hope you can join us!
