we purchased 2 bikes one for on the pavement the other for dirt trails.. these are awesome bikes. we even had an out of town friend test drive ours and she was sold. I love the fact that I can ride a bike even with asthma and I can keep up with other people riding. Ken was great at showing the different styles and prices. I recommend these for anyone with limited health issues who want to enjoy riding a bike, or just enjoy riding a bike.

We first met Ken two years ago. Great guy and stands behind his product. We initially purchased both a mountain and a fat tire. After a few months, and a couple of thousand miles, we added duplicate bikes for our family and friends to enjoy. Brake performance is terrific! We have more than 50% pad life left on our first two bikes at the 2000 mile mark (used mainly in the steep north Reno hills). We took two bikes to Yellowstone during the smoky California fires, and enjoyed miles of priceless trail rides in the woods. Zero problems...zero. I have since swapped the chain ring for a 32 tooth w/11x42 cassette (very low gearing) on my bike for very steep off road torque. Ken has been there whenever a question comes to mind. Great service is so rare these days...and he's a zero sales pressure guy, you can trust him! Michelle was initially very apprehensive about the bikes, with concerns of balance, confidence and safety that comes with approaching her 60's, while I'm looking at 65 LOL. She has since stated these bikes were the single best decision for exercise, exploration adventures and simply spending a lot more quality time together. She's now found all over the the Reno hills, visiting the horses at S. Meadows, and venturing from the McQueen HS area over to the Skyline Tavern, or to Verdi for a snack. Our average rides cover 20 to 35 miles as a norm. As a career machinist/welder/manufacturer, I can vouch for the quality build Ken has created. Like so many of the reviews, after researching various eBikes in our area, doing business with Ken was the obvious choice for both the bikes, and consistent service after the sale. The gearing advantages of a mid drive outperform hub drives resulting in lower battery demands on steep inclines. I recently re-geared our spare fat tire Mid Drive and loaned it to a good friend for hunting/scouting use. It performed flawlessly carrying over 60 pounds of gear and a 185 pound rider off road for 80+ miles over 5 days. A spare battery was carried, but never needed.

Purchased an MDF-500 Mid Drive Electric bike 1 year ago (March 2021) from Mid Drive Electric Bikes and very glad I did. The bike has performed beyond expectations. I am riding single track trails , coastal trails, handles rocky trails and sandy trails as well as paved trails. Ken and his assistant Ian put service first and are always prompt and efficient to help with questions and adjustments sometimes needed.
