If you need to stay a night in your vehicle this is one of the only places left besides a rest area you can do that and not be bothered.

Today was my first time walking along the Interurban South Trailhead. I parked in the new parking area. You follow the paved path around until it leads to the trail. The beginning was a little ugly because you can see a prominent trail offshoot, covered in garbage and a discarded recliner, that is an obvious homeless camp. Sad and maybe a little concerning if you are afraid of homeless people living in the woods. (It turned out that was the only questionable area that I saw.) Started off pretty easy, the flat Fife part was probably around a mile, and then got a little harder as you went along. Each time you cross a street it gets a little steeper. Essentially you are walking up a hill to Milton. For me, probably average shape, I considered it to be an easy hike more than a casual walk. I set my timer for half an hour and after that turned around and walked back. I think I was within eyesight of the trail end and next time I will go all the way. I enjoyed the walk and will do it again. Glad that Fife and Milton maintain this wonderful trail.

A really decent trail, great for a walk with your dog or child! I appreciate secluded trails like these they are nice and long , make sure you bring water and good walking shoes.

Hard to spot the trail head. A small parking lot is on 70th street, just over the bridge South of 99. It will be in your left if you're going South. Walked in early March and it wasn't a pretty walk with most plants looking pretty dead from winter. I bet this trail is pretty during spring though. A lot of road noise from 99 at the start of the walk, but nose and scenery get much better as you start going through neighborhoods. Nicely paved with benches, trash cans, and dog waste bags.
