On Friday June 17th I had a ride scheduled. I asked if driver could bring a $20 red token card. He did. So I get on board and I open my wallet l pay driver, at least that’s what I thought I did. Until June 17th I just happened to call in for a ride, darla answered. She started raising her voice asking why I didn’t pay driver for the red token card…I told her I did. She talked over me basically yelling asking if I am calling her driver a liar. I felt like I was on trial or something. I told her he gave me the token card and a receipt and as best as I could remember I paid him(I do have a memory issue and a learning disability) her mind was made up and she rudely kept shouting over me and I remember my mom saying there are cams on the buses and they had not even checked them yet. Plus if I had not called in I’d have no idea there was a problem because no one had called. I was calling in for a ride when she was pretty irate with me. I had to hang up I was crying because she said fine but I’m calling the committee about it. Days later Kathleen called to clarify that they had reviewed surveillance and that indeed I did not pay. . So my mom said no problem we will pay if he forgot to. Now, that is how it should have been dealt with from the beginning. If there’s a problem but the workers aren’t certain, check cams before making accusations and balling out and accusing. There’s two sides to every story, she has not checked cams yet and didn’t let me barely speak. But when Kathleen called after checking cams, I was finally allowed to explain my side that I do have memory and learning disabilities. So. I made a mistake but corrected it and apologized.

I appreciate them so much when I need a ride. They all work so hard to make sure people get to where they need to go. They are also affordable.

Are there reduced rates for medicaid clients? Is the $4 r/t or 1 way. Is there a way to get ride vouchers from county services. Thanks for helping.

Trip rates are $4 one way round trip is $8. For any Medicaid rides you would have to call job and family services as they handle all rides for Medicaid clients. The county does offer and elderly and disabled card that would give riders half price fares ($2 one way $4 round trip). They also have a Title XX card that is base on income that gives eligible riders 4 free one way trips. They also have bus passes...one week which is 10 rides for $30....two week which is 20 rides for $50 and a month which is 40 rides for $100. I hope this answered your questions, if you have further questions please feel free to call either 937-335-7433 or 937-440-5488.

I've tried for over two hours to get someone to answer the phone and I got nothing. How do you contact anyone to get a ride for this Monday morning? My brother needs a ride from Piqua to Metropolitan Housing in Troy.

The number for scheduling rides is 937-335-7433. If you were calling the 937-440-5488 that is the county office and they close at 4:00 PM.

The phone lines are open then why didn't you just ringing off the hook for a half hour straight
