I was summoned to jury duty. I asked to be excused due to my husband working 12 hour days one hour from Ashland and me being a stay at home mom and having limited access to childcare (the reason I had to quit my job.) I called and left messages for Tina and Molly, no one called me but I did receive an email. Molly said it was not able to be excused, I asked what would happen in other cases and she gave me that info. If I brought my kids, “ However, the Judge would admonish you for that.” If I didn’t come, “ The result of being found in contempt of court is up to three days in jail together with a possible fine of up to $250 plus court costs.” The day before I was supposed to report, I fell and injured my ankle. I reached out again - no one ever picks up the phone. I sent an email and she said I need to submit a doctors note. I submitted the note and she responded letting me know once again I was not excused. I called two more times and finally got Molly Bernard. I was bawling on the phone, I was waiting on X-ray results, in terrible pain, had been sick to my stomach for about 12 hours and she was extremely rude, heartless and could careless that I had legitimate reasons to be excused from court. I showed up and cried the majority of the time because I was in so much pain. This evening I’ve been in the urgent care with my 2 year old who has been puking for 8 hours straight and I know if I reached out to “queen” Molly, she’d tell me a sick child wasn’t a legitimate excuse either. The court should be embarrassed of itself that it will not excuse people who have real reasons not to report, including a doctors excuse. Molly needs to get off her high horse and stop being insensitive and start treating people better. It’s embarrassing that our system cannot be better. Molly Bernard I hope you feel the way you made me feel sometime, no one deserves the way you treated me and there was no reason for it.

I needed some important jury duty information and was able to call in and get the information I needed. She was very helpful and kind! I called in right before Christmas and she was still super happy to help.
