A tour guide at Oak Alley recommended this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious!!!!!!!! We were a little freaked out by the whole using of the slave cabins, at first. That part of history is horrible! Unfortunately, you can't change history. At least these are great reminders of that. History cannot be changed. We learn from it, so we do not repeat.

I remember coming here a lot as a kid! Hope to come back someday. Amazing food as I recall. First place I has chicken and sausage gumbo!

The hours are not clear. Had some friends meet us there to find the place deserted. Call before you go - no one answered when we called, but may be worth a shot to save you a drive for a closed restaurant.

hank you for showing an interest in The Cabin Restaurant. The Cabin has several venue options an each offers beauty, history and charm. Many of our clients like to have their wedding in our Courtyard which makes for an amazing setting. We can seat 150-200 people in our Courtyard. For a wedding ceremony the Garconniere can seat 80 people comfortably and the School House can seat 110 comfortably. Each of these numbers would be for you to hold your wedding ceremony in should you want an indoor wedding. If you would like to hold your wedding in the courtyard we can set it up for the wedding then once the ceremony is over we can transform it into seating for guest and a dance floor so you can dance the night away under the stars. If you have the wedding in the courtyard we will set up your food in the Garconniere and or School House along with seating for your guest.
