John at Autozone was super helpful. I arrived at their store to have my battery checked, I needed a jump to get there, and when I arrived at the store I tried to start my car, it wouldn’t. I wasn’t sure if it was the battery or possibly the alternator. John diagnosed it as likely the battery, and lent me tools so I could install the new battery on the spot. After installing, John rechecked my system and found the alternator was working fine and confirmed it was the battery. He was very helpful through the whole process, much appreciated!!

Most cars, you can cycle the key from OFF to ON (without turning the motor on) 3 times. On the last cycle, let the key in the ON position (without turning the motor on) and the code appears on the dash, in the information center. Google the year and make of your vehicle, you will see if this works for your vehicle. Good luck!
