Questions & Answers

Why does the library open at various times? Why can't they open at the same time of day but close at different times?

The library strives to serve as many people as possible. Sometimes patrons work evenings so the library opens earlier on some days. Some people work 9-5 so the library is open in the evenings. If the library could be manned by staff to be open 24/7 it surely would be! Since it can't, due to budgets and the like, it tries to serve it's community the best it can. Thank you for your question.

How come there is no library on Sunday

Libraries are budgeted a certain number of hours per week that they are allowed to be open. We try to accommodate as many people as possible by being open hours a variety of days and times of the day. Sunday is not a day that enough people would utilize the library. Patrons may access e-books 24/7 and free Wi-Fi is available next to and just outside the building 24/7 as well. There is also a drop box on the front door for anyone wishing to return materials during closed hours. Thank you for your question.
