The ice skates were dull and I went through 2 pairs before settling on the best pair at the time. Found out their skate sharpening machine has been down for a while and the skates haven’t been sharpened for a while. If you know the difference, bring your own skates or make sure their machine has been fixed and the skates recently sharpened. My son had a bad fall on a turn and I couldn’t skate comfortably because the skates kept sliding instead of digging into the ice. Used to go here more often.

Going here for the first time, it did stand out to me that no employees were around except at the rental desk. When entering, it was hard to figure out what to do at first, but once I figured it out, it was fun! The rentals were pretty worn down (as expected with a "rental"), but they stayed on my feet and worked for having a little bit of fun. There weren't more than 6 people there total so it was easy to keep distance and do our own thing while others did theirs. Not sure if masks are still required since the email mentioned yes but other more seemingly regular skaters were not wearing them. Will definitely be coming back!

Not very good at ice skating, but free skating was really fun and even without lessons I definitely improved over the two hours Would highly recommend coming with friends even if you're experienced as that boosted my enjoyment

Easy to get in even with the covid reservation system they're using now. Easy skate rental, too. It was Friday morning so it wasn't too crowded, a lot of fun for a beginner like me! Just be sure to reserve and pay on their website ahead of time, then basically just walk in!

Yes, there or at OVA (Olympic View Arena) which is like women from there at Mt.Terrace.
If you want to go ice skating with your family you will need to book a spot for an open free style session, on there website(lynwoodicecenter.com). No vaccines are required or cards or quarantine. And for adults about $11 without skates and $8 for kids without skates(roughly).
Yes, double check their website for exact times
That's right. If you want to learn on your own, watch YouTube video lessons. I recommend that new skaters get hockey pants, elbow pads and helmet. They sell good used equipment at Play It Again Sports in Lynnwood.
There are hockey leagues at both Lynnwood and Everett Ice Arenas. Comcast Arena in Everett is much closer to the naval base. But Lynnwood is only about a 18 min drive. Hope this helps!
Yes, there is still a fee for the ice time.
Did you check the website for a cancellation policy? If that doesn't work, ring them and ask.The Google map community might have opinions, but not more than that.
They have a calendar on their website. Open skates tend to be all day, but check the calendar for exceptions.
