Unfortunately though our meal was up to par the service was not. Before we had gotten our check my friend and I decided to continue studying because I had called earlier and ask if this was a good cafe to study at and was told we could. However, after we had finished eating and had not yet gotten the check a waitress or hostess had rudely requested that we get up and leave. To top it off after giving our cards and circling a gratuity amount on the other side of our receipt our waitress came over and aggressively asked us why we didn’t tip though I had already circled a gratuity amount on the other receipt, I told her this several times and without acknowledging anything I said she continued to be combative and ask I write it on the receipt as if we intended on not tipping. It is impolite and rude to ask your customers for a tip when they have already done so but then to be combative on top of all that just makes it worse. Again the food was alright but the service ruined the experience, please do better.
